The Mahler Competition serves as a platform for these gifted individuals to demonstrate their mastery of Mahler’s works, captivating audiences with their interpretations and virtuosity.
As a testament to its commitment to the development of exceptional talent, the Mahler Competition awards prizes of great significance. Mahler Foundation is delighted to lend its support to the Mahler Competition by introducing a special award for the Best Performance of the Contemporary Composition, Con Moto, specifically commissioned by Bamberg Symphony to Austrian composer Bernd Richard Deutsch. This exciting addition showcases the foundation’s commitment to fostering innovation and embracing the evolution of classical music.
By recognizing and supporting exceptional young conductors, Mahler Foundation and the Mahler Competition in Bamberg foster a vibrant future for classical music.
